Team Teaching Stage

Event

This stage was very short, and something very inappropriate happened. Miss Beatriz was doing the class and she told me to help her asking some questions related to the topic she was developing. I asked something to Sebastian and he was talking and didn't answer me, I asked him again and he said "¿Qué oh?". I felt bad. Teacher told him that it was wrong talking to me in that way. And he sayed I'm Sorry. I accepeted the appologize.

Reflection

This kind of situations are very uncomfortable for us as teacher, in my case I had never treated a student in that way, because it is not appropiate.
It is very sad when a student acts like this because you as a teacher tryies to do your best at the classroom and teaching them values, so I felt very dissapointed in this situation, the only thing I did was tell to Sebastian that I never thought he could talk to me like that, and that I feel very sad because it was very rude at me.
I think Sebastian understood the message because he never behaved like this again.

Sometimes kids or adolecsents can act in a rude way for many reasons, one could be that they are not likely to learn english, maybe they don't like going to the school, another is that they are treated at home in this way, or it is just a bad day. So we as teachers have to be aware of this, and try to have a good and close relationship with our students in order not to feel sad or bad in this kind of situations.
Unfortunately that was not my case, I had been for just a week at school and I couldn't notice if something wrong happened to this student.
